SCARLET SINS - Live Date Announced For Québec City




Toronto's SCARLET SINS have announced a live date for Québec City, Québec at Chez Dagobert on June 11th. More details and dates will be announced soon.

As previously reported, Scarlet Sins were due to take part in Australia's Rock Out Festival tour in April, but those dates have been postponed.

Organizers state: "MTD4 and Blade Promotions after consultation with the venues and major stakeholders including the International artists, have decided that it is in the best interest of all parties concerned to postpone the event to September/October this year.

The new dates will be advised as soon as possible.

We anticipate announcing additional headline bands to join those previously listed as the postponement allows us to restore the event to our original concept including multiple stages, all ages ticketing and camping at all sites.

We apologise if this postponement causes any inconvenience to those that have already purchased tickets to our event and encourage them to contact us directly - contact@rockoutfestivals.com.au ."

Toronto's SCARLET SINS have issued the following update:

"We need your help, Sinners! Please request our song “Let Go” on 97.7 HTZ FM (St. Catharines, Ontario) through the following link. It will only take a minute of your time…and we’ll love you forever!"

In other news, the band has announced a new show for Québec. They will play Cafe Chaos in Montreal on June 10th. More details will be revealed soon.

SCARLET SINS Bassist On New Album - "The Shows That We’ve Been To Recently – TRIVIUM, LAMB OF GOD – Of Course We’re Going To Be Influenced In Some Way"




SCARLET SINS bassist Tanya Nicklaus is featured in the second interview of a four part showcase on the band. An excerpt featuring Nicklaus discussing the band's forthcoming second album is available below:

“We definitely want to go into the studio before the end of the year, and the new material… to me it sounds different from the first album. When I joined the band two thirds of the songs were already written, so even though I did collaborate on the rest of the songs that were written I didn’t feel like I had that big of a part. The new album, we started from scratch, and with Elie (Bertrand / drums) being in the band on top of it all and bringing her influences in, it makes for a very different type of album.”

“The new music, it’s still heavy, and we’re listening to more and more metal all the time,” she adds. “Just the shows that we’ve been to recently – Trivium, Lamb Of God, really wicked bands like that – of course we’re going to be influenced in some way. All four of us are involved in the songwriting this time; it’s a collaborative effort. We’re all working really hard and everybody pulls their own weight in this band. It’s a lot of hard work and I a lot of bands out there don’t realize just how much work and dedication is involved in getting from Point A to Point B.”

As previously reported, Scarlet Sins are featured in the August issue (cover on left) of Germany's Metal Hammer Magazine as the Band Of The Month in the publication's demo / unsigned section entitled "Heroes Of Tomorrow".
