SCARLET SINS Vocalist And Bassist Return With
WHEN FOREVER DIES - "It Sounds Something Like This..."
Several months into creating the
music that will become their debut album, former
Scarlet Sins vocalist Sylvya NuVynska and bassist Tanya Nicklaus have resurfaced under the moniker When Forever Dies. The ladies have been writing and recording demo tracks since the demise of Scarlet Sins in November 2009, picking up the pieces in stellar fashion. Details with regards to when they will begin recording are still under wraps, but NuVynska and Nicklaus have confirmed that producer / engineer
Richard Chycki - known for his work with Rush, Aerosmith, and on Scarlet Sins' self-titled debut from 2007 - is on board for the first When Forever Dies record.
BW&BK scribe
Carl Begai recently heard some rough mixes and offered the following: "It's a no-brainer that
Sylvya and
Tanya would take care of unfinished business with When Forever Dies, particularly given Syl's unique vocal style. Scarlet Sins fans won't be disappointed, but they may be surprised at the dynamics that have cropped up in the music. The song 'What Have You Become?', for example, takes the lessons learned with Scarlet Sins and kicks things up a notch or three with grittier vocals, big harmonies, a guitar solo (!), with a piano (!!) thrown in for good measure. Things have become decidedly more metal since the break-up. So much the better."
When Forever Dies have launched an official website at
www.whenforeverdies.com. The page is currently under construction but will be updated soon. In the meantime fans can get in touch with the band and watch their progress via the following links:
