MÖTLEY CRÜE - Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Petition Now Online
An online petition to have
MÖTLEY CRÜE entered in the
Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame is now online at
this location.
According to
Nikki Sixx' Sixx Sense Radio website, "One caring, and loving fan of Mötley has decided to change the fact that Mötley isn't in the
Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Lets get they boys in the Hall Of Fame, as they rightfully deserve to be. All that is needed is 10,000 signatures, so make sure to sign it!"
According to Wikipedia: Currently, groups or individuals are qualified for induction 25 years after the release of their first record. Nominees should have demonstrable influence and significance within the history of rock and roll. Four categories are recognized: Performers, Non-Performers, Early Influences, and Sidemen (as of 2000). However, fans have no input concerning who is nominated or elected to the hall.
As previously reported,
Mötley Crüe will be guests on In The Studio - The Stories Behind History's Greatest Rock Bands - during the week of June 28th. The show dubbed Red, White, And Crüe will feature singer Vince Neil and bassist Nikki Sixx chatting with
professional radio broadcaster and rock musician interviewer Redbeard about their greatest hits and war stories from the past.
Sixx remembers vividly: "We were a mess. We didn't go overseas because management said if you guys go, someone is coming back in a body bag. We were operating like a punk band. We were completely out of control."
