ALICE COOPER Handed The Stanley Cup On Stage At London's Rock The Park James Reaney from the
London Free Press is reporting:
Yes, the park really rocked on Friday night. It had to.
The symbol of being the class of the NHL met classic
rock, right in downtown London at Harris Park,
“Maybe you recognize this — the Stanley Cup,”
ALICE COOPER teased late Friday night.
Right on cue, Chicago Blackhawks’ Brian Campbell completed the NHL trophy’s journey for the day by passing it to Alice, who lofted it reverently. Hey, he’s a
sports fan, loves all the Phoenix franchises, doesn’t he?
The
encore produced another surprise - a reprise to
'School’s Out', which had opened the show 80 minutes before.
A guest dropped into Alice’s school for the damned - British guitarist
PETER FRAMPTON, who was in epic form.
It may have been the first Cooper-Frampton partnership. They might want to keep at this rock business.
“Thank you, Stanley Cup,” Alice said in signing off a night for the record books,
The Stanley Cup keeping company with classic rockers capped Day 2 of Rock the Park’s seventh edition.
