U.D.O. - 'Infected' EP Details Revealed



U.D.O. - featuring former ACCEPT singer Udo Dirkschneider - are in studio recording the successor to Mastercutor, tentatively titled Dominator and due for release on August 21st via AFM Records.

As previously reported, a limited edition EP called 'Infected' is planned for release on June 26th.

The single (artwork pictured) is limited to 2,222 copies world wide, and will feature the following tracklisting: 'Infected' (album track), 'Systematic Madness' (non-album track), 'Bodyworld' (non-album track), 'Platchet Soldat' (remix), 'Poezd Po Rossii' (live in Moscow 2008).

On the same day U.D.O. will play the Bang Your Head! Festival in Balingen, Germany as co-headliner. During a signing session at the festival U.D.O. plan to introduce the complete new album to the public the first time.

U.D.O. the band led by the two ex-ACCEPT members Udo Dirkschneider and Stefan Kaufmann just finished the mix for the next album called Dominator which will be released August 21st via AFM Records. The songs they recorded fit perfectly to the most succesful days of the Accept era and prove again that U.D.O. always kept up the banner of Accept (and of course will continue with that in the future)!

The first single is called 'Infected' and will be released June 26th (the day the band is playing as co-headliner at the Bang Your Head Festival in Germany). The single is strictly limited to 2222 copies worldwide and will feature the following tracklisting: 'Infected' (album track), 'Systematic Madness' (non-album track), 'Bodyworld' (non-album track), 'Platchet Soldat' (remix), 'Poezd Po Rossii' (live in Moscow 2008).

The video to promote the album will be filmed mid of June and might be shown mid of July at earliest. The song is called 'Black And White' and will show you exactly where the Metal Heart is still beating! By the way it never stopped beating.

U.D.O. - Year In Review, Future Outlook








In a year that saw his former ACCEPT mates announce a reunion, Udo Dirkschneider has enjoyed the most successful year of his career, fronting U.D.O.

The band's Dominator recorded became the most successful album of his solo career, reaching # 27 on the German charts, their highest entry ever. National television WDR featured a career restrospective of the diminutive frontman and more than 35,000 people attended concerts on the initial leg of the Dominator tour, playing to fans in Norway, France, Spain and just a handful of homegrown dates.

On January 6th, U.D.O. return to the stage, for the next tour, which will take them throughout England, Holland, some additional German dates. Come spring, they will once again return to the Baltic states and Russia.
