JUDAS PRIEST Guitarist K.K. Downing On Re-Recording Early Classics - "Anything Is Possible"

guitarist K.K. Downing answered a number of fan questions on his Steel Mill website recently.

When asked if he keeps in touch with former (1970-1973) Judas Priest singer Al Atkins, Downing responded: "Yes I do see Al from time to time. As for why people part company, there can be a multitude of reasons but as you say the reasons aren't always that clear."

About performing some of their older classics such as the rarely heard Rocka Rolla album, Downing says: "I agree it would be cool to do some of those songs again. We all loved the songs but were disappointed with the production also. It actually sounded great until the record was cut.

About Judas Priest re-recording some of their older classics from the Gull label era - including their 1974 debut album Rocka Rolla and 1975 follow-up Sad Wings of Destiny - Downing remarked, "anything is possible."

Back in action!

While Judas Priest are enjoying their well earned break from touring and recording, Steel Mill has returned from the summer holidays to deliver another blast of great updates your way!

The legendary thrash metal pioneers Annihilator have recently released their self titled new album. Their main man, guitarist Jeff Waters hooked up with our guest contributor Marco and gave an interview on the new record among other issues surrounding the band. The interview is backed with the Steel Mill guide to Annihilator and also a review of the new record!

The line of guests doesn’t end there. The number one European glam hard rock outfit Crashdiet have also new album called “Generation Wild” out and took some time out to chat with the Mill! A review of the new album also comes in with the interview.

K.K.’s exciting Scrapbook-feature continues with 1986’s “Turbo”-era. The tourbook section also includes two scans from the classic “Fuel For Life”- tour.
Add to this, K.K. delivers another huge set of answers to fans’ questions thrown in through late spring and summer.
