The first of these Aussie rock legends to take to the stage will be ROSE TATTOO.

In the category of ´cult bands` Rose Tattoo has been at the top of the pile for years. The raw style of blues rock that these guys manage to create out of a hot mix of slide guitars, pounding hooks with sharp and tight rhythm along with the unmistakeable voice of the front man Angry Anderson is what gives the fans a welcome feast in what is today a fast food orientated music business. The best thing about Rose Tattoo is: The band can take a punch and are full of vitality; they put every kick in the face behind them and still have the energy to carry on and deliver a new quality product. Their new album, Blood Brothers is not only a true to the time Rock´n`Roll album that mixes traditional and modern styles in a super high quality but is also a tribute to the band members Peter Wells and Ian Rilen who unfortunately recently lost their lives. In short: Blood Brothers is a manifestation of Rock´n`Roll of the strongest form, powerful, unrelenting and wildly uncompromising. With all this traditional influence they really are one of the most unusual rock formations in rock history.

Next up are THE SCREAMING JETS.

After an extended hiatus between albums, one of the country’s most respected rock bands, The Screaming Jets came back in 2008 with their first studio release in eight years – and without doubt, their best album yet. As “Do Ya” hits the stores and the first single of the same name smashed the airwaves, fans and music-lovers new to the Jets rockin’ style were in for a real treat.
When The Screaming Jets took an indefinite break after their last studio album ‘Scam’ in 2000, fans feared they’ve never get a chance to hear any new material from one of the hardest rockin’ bands in the business. Front man Dave Gleeson says the record is the epitome of what Australian rock is all about. Every aspect of the album was taken from a ‘rock’ direction and the result is tight and clean with a good dose of driving guitars and rockin’ ercussion. “Do Ya” is the album The Screaming Jets were always destined to make. Like all of the classic albums that make up the band’s back catalogue, “Do Ya” features Dave Gleeson’s killer vocals and that core of true blue rock. Regardless of the different styles tackled on the album, from jazz to blues influenced tracks, when it boils down to it, the record is really just about rock.

Despite 17 years, 6 studio albums, (5 gold and 5 platinum), world tours, multiple line up changes and thousands of gigs later……the dyin’ day ‘aint here yet! They are survivors in an industry that eats it’s own, and despite it all they are committed to their fans in a manner few could hold a candle too. The full bore, amps at eleven, kick ass rock that we love in this country.

To close the show we have THE ANGELS.

Anyone familiar with The Angels music and their history knows they are not only one of Australia’s greatest ever bands but one of its longest surviving. Since releasing their now legendary debut single ‘Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again’ in May 1976, the band has gone on to enjoy an extraordinary career – through the release of a vast catalogue of recorded music and performing thousands of gigs over more than three decades. Indisputably throughout their history they have been venerated not only by their legions of dedicated fans – many of whom have grown up with their music from their youth; but can boast a fan club of some of rock music’s greatest names. AC/DC, David Bowie, Keith Richards, Aerosmith, Guns ‘N Roses, Meat Loaf, Kurt Cobain, Motley Crue, Great White, Cheap Trick and Pearl Jam. Now that the quintessential Angels line-up responsible for recording the landmark first four albums that laid the foundations for everything that followed have reformed, and are now touring together for the first time since 1981, we are again reminded why the band is so revered.

Don’t miss your chance to see Australian rock royalty in this special ANZAC day show!
