STEEL PANTHER To Play Toronto STEEL PANTHER will play The Sound Academy in Toronto, ON Thursday, March 11th. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 19th. The official press release reads as follows:
Grab your hairspray and break out the spandex, hair metal is back and it’s here to steal your girlfriend – LA’s hair metal
rock gods
Steel Panther are bringing the longest running metal show on the Sunset Strip to Toronto. With attention from media outlets like AUX TV and MTV.ca, not to mention three sold out shows at Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom, Steel Panther are seemingly ready to pounce on the rest of Canada.
Panthers are territorial animals, fiercely patrolling their stalking lands. The Sunset Strip, circa 1988, was ruled by one: a legendary band called Steel Panther. The Strip was the plangent heart of the nascent heavy metal scene, one that would soon conquer the
music world, and rockers came from as far as New Jersey and the San Fernando Valley to see this band with a killer sound and habits to match.
Steel Panther’s fabled
live shows were like a GED class from the school of rock taught by frontman
Michael Starr, lead guitarist
Satchel, bassist
Lexxi Foxxx and drummer
Stix Zadinia. And other bands took note: Their raucous stage shows, outrageous style, seismic guitar riffs, catchy melodies, catchier afflictions and indiscriminate taste in trollops and intoxicants would all be copied, as sure as if the original had been left at a Kinko’s where so many apprentice rockers dream of quitting their day jobs.
Now, these once and future kings of heavy metal have emerged out of the mists of history and a cloud of hairspray to reclaim their rightful throne. Look out, because Steel Panther is again marking its territory.
Join Canadian Music Fest and Steel Panther for a night of rock anthems, power ballads and killer guitar solos from one of the most bitchin’ albums ever, Feel The Steel. You’ll never laugh so much while rockin’ so hard. Toronto will never be the same.
