MARKY RAMONE Posts Charity Concert Video Message Online






MARKY RAMONE has posted a video message online about his charity concert at Musicians Institute. Watch the video below. The special all-star fundraising concert is on Friday, October 8th, at 8pm in the MI Concert Hall. Doors open at 7:30pm. The concert is in benefit for the newly created Marky Ramone Drum Scholarship for Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA.

Marky comments: “I am very honoured to be chosen as an artist for the scholarship program. Music for kids is very important to have.”

As previously reported, Bassologist James LoMenzo (ex-MEGADETH, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY) will take the slot of Billy Sheehan at the upcoming benefit concert.
Sheehan regrets that he must pull out due to unforeseen commitments in Europe and sends his apologies to all: “I’m a real big fan of the Ramones and this was unexpected. Good luck on this amazing concert!”

Todd Morse hails from THE OFFSPRING and will be taking on guitar tactics and several Ramones songs. Billy Close is punk-bass extraordinaire and is a founding member of THE FREEZE (East Coast punk band) and also the punk rock band KLOVER (Mercury Records).

Lemmy Kilmister (MOTÖRHEAD) has confirmed to play along with Michael Graves (THE MISFITS), Jeff Duncan (ARMORED SAINT) Marko DeSantis (SUGARCULT), Andy Hilfiger (bassologist/fashion guru) and Marky Ramone himself for a full concert of The Ramones.

You will hear the music that defined many generations and inspired many bands. Marky’s set list is comprised of 31 historical Ramones songs such as 'Sedated', 'K.K.K.', Psychotherapy', 'Blitzkreig Bop', 'Pinhead' and more.

General Admission seats (festival seating) are $30, VIP seating is $45 (guaranteed first 3 rows), $99 VIP Backstage (First 3 rows seating guaranteed, Backstage Pass, After-Show Meet & Greet, Special Marky Ramone Gift bag).

Day of show: General Admission seats (festival seating) are $35, VIP seating is $50 (guaranteed first three rows), VIP Backstage not available.
