Sweden Rock Cruise Running Order Confirmed - "Very Few Tickets Left"


BW&BK has received the following update from the organizers of the Sweden Rock Cruise:

The Sweden Rock Cruise programme has now been set. The running order is as follows:

Thursday April 8:
THE DEVIL'S BLOOD -- 21:00-21:45
H.E.A.T -- 22:15-23:15
TONY MARTIN -- 23:45-00:45
DEATH ANGEL -- 01:15-02:30

Friday April 9:
ABRAMIS BRAMA -- 14:00-14:45
PRIMAL FEAR -- 15:15-16:30

H.E.A.T Album Delayed
The new H.E.A.T album Freedom Rock has been delayed and will not be available for purchase onboard. The new release date for the record is May 12, since the band's Japanese and European record labels want to synchronise the release. However, H.E.A.T still promise to include a lot of new material in the set for their Sweden Rock Cruise appearance, it will be possible to pre-order signed copies of the album onboard and the band's new single 'Beg, Beg, Beg' will be on sale.

Comments band member Jona Tee: "Naturally we still want to play, and hang out with everyone who booked cruise tickets to see us, and we hope that our fans, like us, will have the patience to wait another few weeks for the album."

OPETH, HAMMERFALL, IN FLAMES, EUROPE Members To Pay Tribute To RONNIE JAMES DIO On Sweden Rock Cruise



Some of Sweden's finest heavy metal musicians will gather to pay tribute to RONNIE JAMES DIO (DIO, BLACK SABBATH, HEAVEN & HELL, RAINBOW, ELF) during this fall's edition of the Sweden Rock Cruise, set to sail on October 7th from Stockholm, Sweden for Åbo, Finland and return the following day. There will be a long tribute concert with a number of guest musicians performing classic songs from Dio's career with a main band consisting of members of LION'S SHARE.

So far the following artists have been confirmed to perform with LION'S SHARE at the event:

- Mikael Åkerfeldt (OPETH)
- Joacim Cans (HAMMERFALL)
- Björn Gelotte (IN FLAMES)
- Ian Haugland (EUROPE)
- Messiah Marcolin (ex-CANDLEMASS)
- Johan Edlund (TIAMAT)
- Mike Wead (KING DIAMOND, MERCYFUL FATE, BIBLEBLACK)

The show will end with all artists performing HEAR 'N AID's 'Stars' (Dio was behind the HEAR N' AID project, a collection of metal artists who recorded the track 'Stars' in 1985 to raise funds for African famine relief.)

On the cruise, Sweden Rock Magazine will donate SEK 25,000 to the Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund, set up by Ronnie James Dio's wife Wendy Dio. Everyone attending the cruise can donate money, which will be sent to this cancer fund.
