AEROSMITH Drummer Joey Kramer - "Things In Aero-Land Are Very Copacetic At The Moment"






As reported last week, the feud between singer Steven Tyler and the other members of AEROSMITH seems to have cooled down, with the band's participation in several European summer festivals announced last week. Drummer Joey Kramer confirmed to The Pulse Of Radio that the band are back on solid ground: "Well, nothing's been officially announced yet," he said. "We did definitely have a meeting, and things in AERO-land are very copacetic at the moment, and we are gonna announce this week what our plans are gonna be."

Kramer gave no hint of what this week's announcement might entail, but it seems likely to be the official confirmation of a summer tour and possibly an album.

In addition to their recently announced appearance at this June's Download Festival in the UK, Aerosmith has been advertised as performing on June 10 at the Sweden Rock Festival in Sölvesborg, Sweden, June 27 in Barcelona, Spain and early July in Venice, Italy.

There's no word on whether the band will re-launch the U.S. trek with ZZ TOP that was scrapped midway through last summer, which began a troubled six-month period for the group.

Tyler injured himself in a fall from the stage on that tour last August, forcing the band to cancel the remaining dates. Tyler subsequently announced his intention to take a two-year break from Aerosmith and focus on a solo project, which in turn led the rest of the band to publicly discuss getting a new frontman.

Tyler entered rehab in December for an addiction to painkillers, and his management and attorneys threatened legal action if Aerosmith went forward with finding a new singer.
