ACE FREHLEY - Behind The Player DVD Trailer Available


ACE FREHLEY's new DVD, Behind The Player will be released by Season Of Mist in Europe on January 15th and IMV, a Los Angeles, CA-based producer of interactive music content and video game systems, on January 19th in North America. Check out a trailer for the DVD below:

According to a press release, "Frehley gives an intimate behind-the scenes look at his life as a professional musician, including rare video footage. Frehley then gives lessons on how to play 'Shock Me' and 'Cold Gin' and jams the tracks with special guest musicians, including Matt Sorum (GUNS N' ROSES, VELVET REVOLVER), John 5 (ROB ZOMBIE), Chris Wyse (JANE'S ADDICTION), Tommy Clufetos (TED NUGENT, ALICE COOPER, ROB ZOMBIE) and George Lynch (DOKKEN, LYNCH MOB).

The Video Tab shows exactly how Frehley plays the two tracks. The video-game-style animated tablature is similar to Guitar Hero, but shows how to play the tracks for real."

Ace Frehley released Behind The Player, a retrospective DVD chronicling his work as one of the world's most influential guitar players earlier this month through IMV, Rocket Science Ventures and Sony/RED.

The DVD features the iconic Spaceman talking about his life as a guitar player, including rare photos and video footage. Ace also gives in depth lessons for his KISS classics 'Shock Me' and 'Cold Gin'. The DVD includes an all-star jam session of Ace playing with George Lynch, John 5, Matt Sorum, Chris Wyse and Tommy Clufetos. Frehley says, "I haven't done anything like this before, but liked what they were doing with the Behind The Player series. Jamming the tracks with the guys was a lot of fun."
