Swedish metallers SABATON have issued the following update:

"Here comes our Xmas present to all you friends, fans and freaks out there. What about the new album artwork, the title of the new album and of course a teaser of the music from the new album?

This song is of course a pre-produced demo version since we have not yet recorded any new material, but it gives a hint.

So, we hope you like it and that this news keeps you warm during the cold months of the winter, for in the spring we go on the road again.

And we will see you all, under the Coat Of Arms."

Sabaton recently offered up the following tour update: "Our headline tour, fittingly named the World War Tour. kicks off on August 27th and consists of over 60 shows in more than 20 nations. The final show will take place on December 11th, after which we will regroup, rearm and prepare for yet another strike in 2011. Tickets are already available for many of the shows and the rest will follow ASAP."

SABATON - New Song Streaming Online






Swedish war machine SABATON will be releasing their new album, Coat Of Arms, via Nuclear Blast on May 21st throughout Europe and the 24th in the UK.

Another new song, 'Aces In Exile', is now streaming online at the band's MySpace page.

About the track, Sabaton says that the song covers "the topic of the exile pilots who fought in the Battle of Brittain during WW2. This was one of first songs we directly felt a connection to and quickly made the decision that the song goes onto the album. Most likely you will hear us play this song live very soon!"

SAbaton recently filmed a video for the track 'Uprising', which "is a powerful and emotional tribute to those who lost their lives in the Warsaw uprising in 1944," according to the band. The video will feature Peter Stormare (Prison Break, 8MM, Fargo) as SS-Obergruppenführer von dem Bach and will be directed by Jacek Raginis (related to decorated WWII hero Wladyslav Raginis).

Sabaton recently announced their first full UK headline tour. The battle ready bruisers are arming their guns for the UK invasion alongside allies/Scottish Pirate metallers ALESTORM for a six day attack of England, Scotland and Wales.

When asked for comment, Sabaton vocalist Joakim Brodén replied: “You want me to say some words about us going on tour with Alestorm? I only need two: Blitzkrieg Piracy! We’ve met these guys several times on the road, and they’re just as fucked up as we are. Expect some crazy ass shows.”

Sabaton recently uploaded a four-minute documentary about the shooting of their video for the song 'Uprising'. The lyrics of the song are about the Warsaw Uprising in 1944. The clip was shot in mid / late May in Poland – where the band themselves got an honorary citizenship – and can fairly be described as the biggest video clip in heavy metal with more than 200 people working on it 24/7, a budget beyond 100k, major actors featured (such as Peter Stomare, known from Hollywood productions like Prison Break, 8MM, Fargo, The Big Leboswki and more).

A teaser of the upcoming video clip 'Uprising' by Swedish epic power metal superstars SABATON has been broadcasted on Polish TV this week. Check it out below:

The clip, marking one of the biggest productions in heavy metal, features famous Hollywood actor Peter Stomare (8MM, Fargo, The Big Leboswki etc) and is about the Warsaw Uprising in 1944. The clip will premiere on August 1st, the anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising in Poland and worldwide on August 3rd via MySpace.
