John MICELI : The Lord Of The Drums


The lights sweep away the stage while Meat Loaf offers his audience one of his legendary songs. Just behind him, echoing each of his words like the thunder rolls over the plain, the shining drums vibrate under the sticks of their Master.

This man is able to rock the whole venue like no one else in the world, as the living incarnation of power and majesty. And he also is a man I deeply respect and admire. Everyone knows the name of this exceptional drummer, the more than talented John MICELI.





As a member of the Neverland Express since 1991, John has already performed on stage with Meat Loaf hundreds of times, to the delight of his Fans all around the world. He has also worked and toured with other Bands such as Blue Oyster Cult, Marchello and Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow.

When not touring the world, John also teaches drums in his own studio and has already published two drums instruction books.

Deeply kind-hearted, John Miceli sustains a Charity Organization named "Compassion International" that helps break the cycle of poverty for children around the world. He sponsors children with whom he keeps in contact through letters. John therefore regularly add items, from various Tours he has been on, for auction on Ebay in order to raise money to help them.

John is a really busy man with lots of achievements and projects these days.
He has recorded an album with Amberly Thiessen, who was on Canadian Idol last year, and that is about to be released, and another one with Scarecrow, a Rock Opera, with whom he hopes to be touring in the UK next year.
He is also working on Meat Loaf's upcoming album as well as on a project for Paul Crook's guitar album.

And, last but not least, John will be touring in May 2009 all around Germany with Marya ROXX, and Paul Crook of course : 20 shows are scheduled. They will also perform at the Hammerfest Festival in Prestatyn (Wales) on April 25th. Check my Calendar on the main page of the site for all the dates and locations.
